Vape Advocacy is important

There are many vape advocacy groups out there. Two groups that come to mind are CASAA and the AVA. Both provide relevant news about vaping and their sites have an encyclopedia of information.

CASAA: The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association (#CASAA) is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization with an all-volunteer board and a grassroots membership of more than two hundred thousand individuals from all walks of life, and we are growing daily.  We are a consumer organization, not a trade association.  We are dedicated to ensuring the availability of reduced harm alternatives to smoking and to providing smokers and non-smokers alike with honest information about those alternatives so that they can make informed choices.

Since CASAA’s founding in 2009, we have educated the public and increased awareness about the benefits of reduced harm alternatives to smoking, including e-cigarettes (also known as vapor products).  We also encourage responsible legislative policy designed to improve public health by recognizing that smoke-free nicotine-containing products are inherently far less dangerous than smoking.

Within this site you will find published news stories, scientific studies, links and informational materials to help educate the public about Tobacco Harm Reduction and to assist CASAA members in their advocacy efforts to keep vapor products and other harm reduction methods available, affordable, and effective.

AVA: Wherever there is a battle that will impact consumer choice and the ability of businesses to sell reduced harm products, the American Vaping Association (#AVA) is there to help.

Since beginning operations in early-2014, the AVA has emerged as one of the most vocal voices arguing for fair and sensible policy towards vapor products and electronic cigarettes.   The AVA has not been shy to identify and criticize those trying to destroy the growing vaping industry, whether they be governmental agencies or health activist groups.

Gregory Conley, who serves as the President of the AVA, is the most quoted person in the U.S. news media on vaping news and policy.  For a sample of the work AVA has done in the media, please see our Press Room.

The AVA also provides significant support to national, state, and local nonprofits that are fighting to ensure vapor products remain available for adult smokers and ex-smokers.
